The 8 best Drift alternativesnow that Drift is being sunset

Drift is being sunset. Here are eight alternatives with real prices. Your CRM, your budget and how fast you need to go live decide the pick.

Summarize this page with

If Drift has been the chat box on your website for years, you've probably stopped thinking about it. Then Clari + Salesloft announced the sunset in March 2026, and now drift.com redirects to Salesloft.

Someone now has to pick a replacement, ideally before renewal forces it. This guide covers what happened, what Drift was quietly doing for you, and eight alternatives with real prices.

Quick TL;DR
  • Is Drift shutting down? Yes, gradually. Clari + Salesloft announced the sunset on March 5, 2026. There's no public end-of-life date, so get yours from your account team in writing.
  • Best Drift alternative for most teams Flowxperia. A live video agent on your site talks to visitors, answers their questions and books the meeting, then follows up on WhatsApp, Instagram and SMS. From $797 a month, live in about 48 hours.
  • Best if you run Salesloft and Clari 1mind, the successor Salesloft recommends. Plan for a six-figure annual contract.
  • Best on Salesforce with a big budget Qualified (Piper), which Salesforce now owns.

What happened to Drift

  1. February 2024

    Salesloft acquires Drift.

  2. August 2025

Attackers use stolen Drift OAuth tokens to pull data out of many companies' Salesforce instances. On August 20, Salesloft and Salesforce revoke every Drift token, and Salesforce pulls Drift from AppExchange.

  3. September 16, 2025

Drift comes back online after being taken down for the investigation.

  4. December 3, 2025

The Clari and Salesloft merger completes.

  5. March 5 to 6, 2026

Clari + Salesloft announce that Drift will be gradually sunset and name 1mind its exclusive AI successor.

  6. By October 2026

drift.com redirects to a Salesloft page announcing the move from Drift to 1mind.

If you're mid-contract, ask your account team to confirm your access and renewal dates in writing. Then export your conversation history, playbooks and routing rules while you still can.

Do you have to move to 1mind

No. 1mind is the path Salesloft supports, and it's a capable product, but nothing stops you from choosing a different vendor.

1mind fits best when you already run Salesloft cadences and Clari forecasting, since it feeds both, and when your budget is enterprise-sized.

Its founder has described contracts of roughly $100K to $400K a year. If that's far above what you paid for Drift, compare a few other options before you sign.

What to look for in a Drift alternative

Start by writing down what Drift actually did for you. Most teams used some mix of this:

  • Website chat that opened a conversation and answered questions
  • Playbooks that asked qualifying questions
  • Routing to the right rep by territory or account
  • Booking meetings on a rep's calendar
  • Coverage after hours, when no rep was online
  • Follow-up once the visitor had left the site
  • Sync with Salesforce or HubSpot

Drift was weakest on after-hours coverage and follow-up. It leaned on reps being online to chat, and the conversation usually ended when the visitor closed the tab. Judge replacements on how well they handle those two.

Can it run without someone staffing chat

Some alternatives answer, qualify and book on their own. Others are live chat tools that still expect a person on the other end.

Does it follow up after the visitor leaves

Ask what happens when a visitor drops off halfway through a conversation, and whether the tool can reach new leads on WhatsApp, Instagram or SMS.

Can it talk face to face

Four alternatives here can put a talking video agent on your site, and three sell it on enterprise contracts. Ask what it costs, and how long setup takes: anywhere from hours to 60 days.

How it works

The best Drift alternatives

1

Flowxperia

Best for: teams that want an AI agent to answer, qualify and book every lead without staffing chat

Flowxperia homepage
Starting price
$797 a month
Setup
About 48 hours
Free trial
20 min on your site, 7 days on WhatsApp and Instagram
Video agent
On every plan

Flowxperia swaps Drift's chat box for a live video agent, a lifelike AI presenter visitors can talk to or type to.

It answers from your own content, compares options when someone can't decide, asks your qualifying questions and books the meeting.

You can use a pre-built presenter, or on the Scale plan create up to three custom avatars of people on your team, with cloned voices.

Where Drift went quiet when the tab closed, Flowxperia keeps going.

The same agent replies within seconds on WhatsApp, Instagram or SMS to new leads from your site, ads and social accounts, and follows up until they book (Growth and Scale plans).

It syncs with HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Pipedrive, Dynamics 365 and Zendesk, and goes live in about 48 hours.

What we like
  • A live video agent on every plan
  • Covers after hours and follow-up, where Drift was weakest
  • Published prices and a free trial
  • No per-seat fees
Watch out for
  • No account-based intent data
  • It doesn't join live sales calls

Bottom line: Choose Flowxperia if you want Drift's job done by an agent that never needs a rep online, live within the week.

2

1mind

Best for: enterprises on Salesloft and Clari that want the supported migration path

1mind homepage
Starting price
About $100K+ a year

Video agent
Yes, its core product

1mind's photorealistic AI agents talk to website visitors, run product demos mid-conversation, sit in on live sales calls and guide users inside your product.

It feeds Salesloft Cadences and Clari forecasts, and Salesloft names it as the successor for Drift customers. It has 4.9 out of 5 on G2, from a small base of 7 reviews. Read Flowxperia vs 1mind.

What we like
  • The official Drift successor
  • Realistic avatars and live demos
  • Works on live sales calls
Watch out for
  • Six-figure annual contracts
  • No public pricing or trial
  • No WhatsApp, Instagram or SMS

Bottom line: 1mind is the smoothest move if you're deep in Salesloft and Clari and the budget is already approved.

3

Qualified (Piper)

Best for: Salesforce-centric enterprises with RevOps capacity

Qualified (Piper) homepage
Starting price
Quote only
Setup
30 to 60 days
Free trial
No
Video agent
PiperX, sold separately

Piper is the most established AI SDR for B2B websites. It talks to visitors by text, voice or video, follows up by email and routes leads off your Salesforce data.

Video avatars come with PiperX, a separate SKU, and typical deals land around $62K a year. Salesforce owns Qualified, which holds 4.9 out of 5 on G2 from 1,567 reviews. See our Qualified alternatives guide.

What we like
  • Deep Salesforce fit
  • Support that customers rate highly
  • Built for enterprise scale
Watch out for
  • PiperX requires Salesforce CRM
  • A 30 to 60 day rollout
  • No WhatsApp, Instagram or SMS

Bottom line: Qualified is the natural step for Salesforce shops that used Drift for account-based routing and can wait for implementation.

4

Docket

Best for: B2B SaaS teams whose buyers ask technical questions

Docket homepage
Starting price
$4K a month, annual
Setup
7 to 14 days
Free trial
No
Video agent
From the Pro plan

Docket's website agent is voice-first. It answers security and integration questions from your Gong calls, Slack and internal docs, then qualifies the visitor and books.

The video avatar comes with the $6K-a-month Pro plan, and Docket also pitches itself directly to Drift customers. Read Flowxperia vs Docket.

What we like
  • Deep technical answers
  • Published prices
  • SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001
Watch out for
  • $48K a year minimum
  • Website and email only
  • No free trial

Bottom line: Docket is a strong replacement for SaaS teams whose Drift chats were mostly technical questions.

5

Intercom Fin

Best for: companies where support and sales chat overlap

Intercom Fin homepage
Starting price
$29 a seat + $0.99 per outcome
Setup
Days
Free trial
14 days
Video agent
No

Fin answers support questions. Add Fin for Sales and it also qualifies leads and books through Calendly or Chili Piper, over chat, email, WhatsApp, social and SMS.

Watch the pricing, because each sales qualification costs $9.99. It's text only, with no video agent, and rates 4.5 out of 5 on G2.

What we like
  • One agent for support and sales
  • Many channels
  • 45 languages
Watch out for
  • Per-outcome bills are hard to predict
  • Support comes first in the product
  • Seat fees on top

Bottom line: Fin makes sense when the same team answers support and sales chat and you'd rather run one tool.

6

HubSpot Customer Agent

Best for: teams that moved Drift's job into HubSpot

HubSpot Customer Agent homepage
Starting price
$0.50 per resolution
Setup
Days
Free trial
14 days
Video agent
No

If you already run HubSpot, its Customer Agent and free chatflows handle website chat and qualification, and the Meetings bot sends booking links. Every conversation lands on the contact record.

What we like
  • Native CRM context
  • Free Meetings bot
  • Low per-resolution price
Watch out for
  • The AI agent needs Professional or Enterprise
  • Onboarding fees from $1,500
  • Only for HubSpot users

Bottom line: HubSpot's own agent is the low-effort option if you're already paying for Professional and mostly need chat and booking links.

7

Tidio (Lyro)

Best for: small teams that mainly used Drift as a chat widget

Tidio (Lyro) homepage
Starting price
Free, then $29 a month
Setup
Hours
Free trial
Free plan
Video agent
No

Tidio is live chat plus Lyro, an AI agent that answers from your content and can send a Calendly link. It costs a fraction of what Drift did, with lighter qualification and routing. It has 4.6 out of 5 on G2 from 1,992 reviews.

What we like
  • Free plan
  • Quick setup
  • Large review base
Watch out for
  • Lighter routing than Drift
  • Lyro is billed separately
  • Built for support and ecommerce

Bottom line: Tidio is fine if Drift was only ever a chat widget for you and the budget is small.

8

Crisp

Best for: teams that want flat-price live chat and will answer it themselves

Crisp homepage
Starting price
Free, then $45 a month
Setup
Hours
Free trial
Free plan
Video agent
No

Crisp is a shared inbox for chat, email and social, with an AI agent called Hugo. You pay per workspace rather than per seat, which is the opposite of how Drift billed.

What we like
  • Flat workspace pricing
  • Omnichannel inbox
  • Free plan
Watch out for
  • Not built for sales qualification
  • Light on routing and booking
  • AI usage is metered by credit

Bottom line: Crisp suits teams that want cheap, flat-price chat and have people ready to answer it.

How to move off Drift in a week

  1. Export everything

Conversation history, playbooks, routing rules, meeting links and your Salesforce or HubSpot field mapping.

  2. Turn playbooks into questions

Write down the questions each playbook asked and what made someone qualified. That list becomes your new agent's brief.

  3. Rotate your credentials

The 2025 breach ran on stolen Drift OAuth tokens, so treat every token that was ever connected to Drift as compromised. Confirm that old Drift connections to Salesforce, Slack and email are revoked.

  4. Connect the new tool

Hook up your CRM, calendars and any messaging channels. With Flowxperia that takes about 48 hours.

  5. Run both for a few days, then switch

Put the new agent on a handful of pages, compare the leads it captures, then pull the Drift snippet.

Drift alternatives questions

Read these, or just

Yes, gradually. Clari + Salesloft announced the Drift sunset on March 5, 2026 and pointed customers to 1mind. There's no public end date, so ask your account team for yours.

1mind is replacing Drift as Salesloft's exclusive AI successor, and drift.com now redirects to a Salesloft page announcing the move. You can still choose another vendor, such as Flowxperia, Qualified or Docket.

No. 1mind is the recommended path, not a requirement. It suits Salesloft and Clari enterprises with six-figure budgets, and many smaller teams compare alternatives with published prices instead.

Four Drift alternatives have one: Flowxperia on every plan from $797 a month, 1mind (usually $100K or more a year), Qualified through its separately sold PiperX, and Docket from its $6K-a-month Pro plan. Intercom Fin, HubSpot, Tidio and Crisp are text chat only.

Tidio and Crisp are the cheapest, with free plans and paid plans from $29 and $45 a month. For an AI agent that qualifies and books meetings with nobody staffing chat, Flowxperia starts at $797 a month.

Flowxperia, Docket, 1mind, Intercom Fin and HubSpot's own Customer Agent all work with HubSpot. Qualified's newest AI features require Salesforce.

Yes. Flowxperia answers and follows up with leads on WhatsApp, Instagram and SMS. Intercom Fin, Tidio and Crisp also connect to WhatsApp.

Drift cost about $35,500 a year for a typical contract, with Premium starting at $2,500 a month. It charged per seat, which is why so many teams found it expensive.
